VAC BAN - scam

I had an attempt to cheat through HUB on FACEIT. Today I got a VAC ban for multi login. Probably scammers are still trying to steal my account. I didn't enter the password, I just scanned the QR code and then I realized it was a bad link and a scam. They didn't steal anything from me because I didn't enter the password and changed it, but I got banned on Steam. How do I get my account back?

Yeah, scam.

If you still have access to your account:

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

My eccount is not baned only looked on it. I got invite from fake valve to transfer all of my skins to "safe" eccount.

The scam never really made sense to me. Valve will never give you a heads-up that you're getting banned and offer to launder skins for you.

They're being scammed for their username and password but can't actually steal items directly because of Steam Guard. The only reason scammers want your login is so they can add a fake ban message to your profile. The actual theft happens when they impersonate Valve and ask you to give them your skins.

I guess I got scammed this way :(. They sent me a message from what i thought was steam. They somehow blocked all my friends list though, and locked me out of all my cd-keys from playing any games in my library. I don't know what to do now, and Steam doesn't seem to have a way to reach out for help support.

don't panic. change your password, uninstall and install steam app on your phone. follow @Aluvard. everything will be fine

It's quite simple really VAC will NEVER warn you about a ban or an investigation they just ban you. Also Steam/Valve almost never contact you and certainly not by other mean than their own platform (read discord, etc)
