CS2 False Ban - Anything I can do?

Hello,

I have just recently got into CS2, and woke up this morning to a VAC ban. Is there any way to appeal it at all? I am 100 percent positive it is false. Never even thought to of used a cheat in my life, the only thing I have done recently is download the FACEIT anticheat to play FACEIT before I got to level 10 for premier. I am wondering if that caused any issues with the ban? I have the valorant anti cheat always running and have played thousands of hours of that and never been banned. That is because I do not cheat, or run any cheating software. Is there anything I can do to appeal this?

I just got the same thing, never cheated, haven't downloaded anything sus (or anything in general, besides amd driver updates).

Go to Help -> steam support -> cs2 -> recent ban and select to provide more information about your recent ban. Provide all of the information you can - any programs etc that could have possibly interacted with the game or whatever else you wish to share.

It will create a ticket, good luck.

I am hoping it is a false ban issue for sure, I just looked through all my files, and have found no suspicious exe files or anything, in the decades ive gamed ive never been false banned before.

You cannot appeal VAC bans and Faceit servers are VAC secured, just like any other server.

No appeals are possible unfortunately but one of my friends that I trust got false VAC banned too. Maybe a ban wave occured and maybe a third party software was the cause even though they are not cheats. If it's a false ban it will get lifted automatically.

I hope you still didn't cheat, false ban happens and the fact that my friend got one too makes me thing of maybe a new ban wave but could false ban because of a simple software that are not cheats. It happened in the past already

Was your friend recently banned? I am really hoping it is a false wave, like I said ive never been banned from a game before, and ive played thousands of hours of valorant etc so I am not for sure what software would of triggered something like that on my PC.

I can tell you it happens, a recent case of this forum got unbanned recently and was receiving hate on his topic. You can't judge anyone you don't know. If it would have happenned to you, you would have loved some help or infos.

If it's indeed false, we'll know in the future what was the software/action/bind that caused it. IF you got false banned I wish you the best of luck. It can take days/weeks/months or EVEN YEARS to be determined as a false ban and finally revoked. VAC isn't perfect unfortunately. Some legit people gets false banned even before some spinbotters :(

Ban aves are a myth started by cheaters, trying to explain away their bans. Even Steam Support cannot remove VAC bans. So, what good do you think it will do to post about it here? Nothing. This is a user forum and there is nobody here except other Steam users, just like you.

Game hours are irrelevant. Any account can cheat.

well, i answered him with some real intel and no disregard. Ban waves are real, there was one few weeks ago about a really popular cheat. So it exists as it existed for a software that wasn't even a cheat in 2016 called Timer Resolution..

No. VAC bans cannot be appealed. If a VAC ban is issued incorrectly it will be automatically removed after investigation, but Steam Support does not manually remove VAC bans applied to accounts for any reason.

No one is trying to be a moderator. You cannot appeal VAC bans and this is not an appeal forum and it never has been.
