Garry's Mod ban for no reason

Hello! Today I wanted to play Garry's Mod just like every day. I get on my favourite server, see the ghost-motd appear, and then a message "Banned permanently. Alt account detected". I flip my crap over it to the server owner and all the admins, they unban me and I proceed by joining the server again. The same thing happens again. I try to join another server, but the same thing happens . I do have an alt account, it's http://steamcommunity.com/id/fagpuss6969 (sorry for the name, couldnt bother to change it after a few years). I have never cheated there, I don't own a Source game on it. This is really sad for me because I really like playing Garry's Mod, and have never cheated on it. Is there a way to get my status back? Thanks!

This sounds like it's a server IP ban, not the best system to use as IP's can be changed and in alot of cases are changed on daily/weekly/monthly basis. You could have ended up with a banned IP somehow and this is the reason. Ask the admins if it's an IP banning system if it is they might have to remove that IP from the blacklist.

You are in some pretty hot water here. Tell Steam support and hope for the best. They will in fact help you as soon as you are seen.

Looks like the admin banned you. Play on another server. By the way, I wonder. How did you read "VAC ban" into that message?

Well is this only on one server, or all of Gmod? That is one thing we need to know.

Define "all server". What servers have you tried?

Try different gamemodes and all that. You don't have a VAC ban on your profile.

Garry's Mod will ban for lua hacks, which VAC doesn't detect.

Once you're detected it will auto ban you from servers and if you've connected from the same IP with the same game in a similar timescale it'll link them and ban then too.
