Here processes :
I'm gonna guess the response you'll receive is "please make sure steamservice.exe is running"
If you go to services tab there's going to be "Steam Client Service" and it'll be on "Stopped" right click it and change it to "Running".
I've yet to re-encountered the issue but I do believe what we need to do if we to get it fixed is get the error again and when we do, grab the process list. I have a bat file ready so I can save a list without wasting time, after which I'm going to try and see if steamservice isn't running then make sure it runs.
If all fails and I receive another cooldown it is my hope that the intel I gathered would lead to a solution and if not then I'd be completely hopeless but until then I at least get to play without issues, for now.
Yeah I've seen this service and restarted it when I had the error. Nothing changed.
Now to diagnose something more I have to wait 7 days, great...
Does the error occur at all during DM or casual? Perhaps you should try playing DM/Casual for a bit (as much time as it takes for competitive to trigger the issue)
I'd like to see your reasoning for that statement.
I believe he means it's a little silly to release a game that requires a fresh windows installation with no other software on it just because the developer didn't account for it.
In my opinion it's more of obstacle removal, you want to remove as much disturbance as possible so software that may run in the background and filter network or file system might mess things up this is why it's probably wise to disable it or remove it to see if the problem persists, it's a process of elimination to pinpoint the source of the problem.
It's important to keep in mind noone replying to your issue has full knowledge of what's going on in your pc or your life, what you installed on it or what changes your pc has been through. It all may have worked fine until a certain point. There's just so much information missing.
Any argument about whose responsibility it is to solve it will simply divert focus from where it should be and that is, fixing the problem.
