How to remove cheats from system
How do I remove cheats from my system so that I won't get banned on this account as well? I'm afraid VAC will detect cheats that I stopped using when I got banned on another account. I permanently deleted the cheating programs a while ago, but is that enough?

Reformatting is the only sure way. Deleting doesn't equal gone.

What is reformatting, and how do I do it?

A complete wipe of your hard drives(s). Google it.

There's no way to remove just the cheat?

Again, deleting doesn't equal gone. When you delete anything in Windows, it's still there...Windows just cannot find it. So, reformat.

So, I'll lose anything I don't back up when I reformat, or will everything be gone?

Everything will be gone.

So, if I used CCleaner to wipe all of the free disk space (i.e the crap I permanently deleted)?

Only a full wipe would suffice in this situation. Most cheat files can linger, spread or be loaded with harmful material that you cannot track. Even some of the more serious ones can re-install themselves without your knowledge every time you delete them. Back-up everything that you need and then do a complete wipe of everything on your PC. It's the only solution and a peril of cheating and its more severe effects aside from just the VAC ban.

... and here we have a example of CCleaner being a religion. Who cares about common sense when you can believe...

I mention CCleaner once and suddenly I now follow a different religion.

I don't praise "a different religion" here. I praise the one and only non-religion. Amongst religions there's always the one which is not, like physics among the real-world god religions.

Cheated once should stay banned for ever ... I would not let a raper in my house only bc he say i will not do it again ...
