Accidently had cheat engine running while playing MM

Can I get VAC-banned? I used it for a single player game called Dragon Age. I forgot about it running while I started CS GO. I was in MM for 2 rounds then I remembered about the CE.

Is there a risk for VAC ban?

If you have a cheat engine running whilst connected to a VAC secured server; I believe a ban is almost a certainty and more of a question of when and not if.

Not much you can do with cheat engine in terms of MM. However you could attemtpt to break some htlm coding in the main page. So you will have to wait and see. However i really doubt they will do anything just for running cheat engine. Maybe if you tried to do something with it.

Giving myself extra talent points in dragon age inquisition. It's a singleplayer game and cheat engine is pretty good to cheat on all games so I like to keep it around.

I'm not a believer in cheating in multiplayer games, gives no rewards.

If you only loaded cheat engine while having cs go match making going, it will give you an immediate vac kick. But you won't be banned. However if you hooked it to counterstrike by opening process id, your screwed, guaranteed vac ban even if you changed nothing.

This program is legit for cheating on single player games to edit your money or speed hacking on like sim city or racing games. But you have to deliberately inject it into cs go for the vac ban. DO NOT use this program on muliplayer games. (That includes counterstrike go bot match also)

I might also add make sure you don't inject it into the steam client either, or you'll get something bad happen... maybe a ban, maybe an entire account lockout. I don't know.

Only if you had cheat engine target the CS exe startup file.

Cheat Engine by itself should not cause a VAC ban. That should only happen if you hook into CSGO/(Steam processes).

but the program was a active process and was running in memory during the vac protected server run,is only matter of time for your ban,is sad but vac have tolerancy zero for cheats and cheat engine is a well know cheat.
