How can we, honest people do something about this? Leaving the game?

to my knowledge VAC 3 is already up and running. played earlier CS2 and haven't seen any cheaters and i'm pretty much on low level. But if i look at Vac forums there is lots of people complaining about their bans, so system works, just delayed.

Wouldn't say vanguard is holy grail of anti cheat. with all cheaters and cheat developers, they will ALWAYS find a work around any anti cheat, until it catches up to them

But what I can tell you is that writing something like that in the vac forum doesn't help because it's an only user forum and Valve doesn't read it.

My bad for not making it obvious enough that I was being ironic. Vanguard might be the most ambitious anti-cheat attempt so far, but if you look into it, it's fascinating to see the lengths cheaters are willing to go just to cheat in games—ranging from customized operating systems to dual-PC setups using DMA cards, and so on.

Fascinating but (for me) incomprehensible to go these lengths only to cheat in a game

Not really, saying 100% is exaggerated, Valorant has a 5% cheater playerbase, you cannot lower the number below 5%, it is numerically impossible, unless the anticheat is created by a supreme being, I am pretty sure the cheaters numbers will be wiped out down to 0%.

Yes, that is the best course of action. CS2 is a free to play game with a thriving black market of skin trading, therefor it has great appeal to countries with less financial stability.
so you end up with people who make money selling skins, skins they will get their hands on no matter what. be it cheating or hijacking accounts or whatnot.

face it, your beloved game has become a job to criminals.
