I was wrongfully banned - most likely for using the 180 degree bind (just for fun as I have ADHD)
Hello There,

DO NOT USE THE 180 BIND, it appears it got me banned.
I was wrongfully banned (auto banned?) for using the 180 degree bind that got recently famous on twitter/twitch.

I had never used any cheating software (I despise cheats in any form). I have over 3000 hours on this account, and it is my only STEAM account.

All I've used was this bind command that I have adjusted for my mouse sensitivity:
bind c "yaw -16500 1 1" with 1.48902 sens for a 180

Please, anybody - can this please be looked into? This command was used just for fun to brighten the moods of my team-mates.

This is absolutely crazy and I had not expected this.

Now I can see that probably the hectic, quick 180 degree turns could have triggered some kind of auto-ban. I was so happy to play CS2 finally, and now this. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Help? Anyone?

Game BAN not a VAC ban issue

But come on now. I did not deserve this, especially in a Test of CS2.

The game ban is permanent and cannot be appealed against, all of the official information is in the 'info' link on your profile, there's nothing on these user only forums that anyone can do

You are not the first one who got banned for this yaw-cheat in CS2.

"Behavior by your account generated reports by fellow players. Overwatch investigators then viewed the gameplay footage and determined that external software was used to gain aim, vision, or other unfair assistance and that a permanent ban was appropriate."

I did not use any EXTERNAL software used to gain aim/vision.
It was merely a command I typed into the console.

Also, it is not even helpful.

Overwatch is currently disabled for CS-GO2. All game bans come from VACNet.

I have copied the reasoning behind my ban. I cannot understand and grasp what just has happened. This is insanity man.

What happened was that you thought you'd be slick and use a trick you saw on Twitch, but found out the devs are already onto that trick and are banning accounts for using it.

Man, if I knew that this was a bannable offence I would've never used it! This is a play-test after all. I thought of this nothing more of "another gimmick" that will be patched soon.

Open a Steam Support Ticket and describe your case there.

I did. I have provided Steam Support with the command I have used in the console, and even the source of it from Twitter to highlight the issue.

Is this something they can undo? Man this is sad.

They can't do anything and even IF they could I very much doubt they will

Steam Support are for billing and account issues, they do not investigate Game/Vac bans nor do they reverse them, messaging them is a waste of time. All of this information is detailed in the info link on your profile

3.5k of hours, +1k$ worth of items all down the drain because of a console command that I've used.

The ban reasoning mentions that I must have used an external software, which I did not.

I have been wrongfully banned here. 100%
