What you said is true, but if VAC was sufficient enough there would be no need for programs such as ''Overwatch'' in games such as CSGO to stop cheaters.
That's not to say that servers can't augment with whatever other systems they like, including just individual based observation techniques, but as far as VAC there are no admins and none are needed. It functions perfectly well on its own, but of course no system can catch all of the cheaters - that's why it's best to have multiple types.
As a sever owner running VAC or Source Games, what community provided anti cheat configs, bandlists, checks or plugins/mods are avalible to harden my server agianst cheaters?
why are you so worried about cheaters? its not that big of a deal dude. you seem over protective, get some mods to run the server and your fine.
Otherwise, if you're running a source game, there exists SourceBans, which manages bans across multiple servers : I'm sure that, if you take some time to search, you'll find groups or publicly available banlists.
There may exist other 3rd party tools, but I may have missed them. I apologize in advance if this is not what you're looking for.
Thanks for that! :)
