CS 1.6 - accessing servers non steam is risky to take banishment?

I intend to buy the CS 1.6 and not sure how to access servers.Se works I want to access these servers non steam in there for example the zombie mode, it automatically starts to download the changes. Correct?

Download this files on non steam servers involves some risk?

There is a zombie mod on the official servers?

I want to be cautious, as reading around, I see many cases of bans by the times users are not careful with your account.

anti-cheaters programs (SXE, EAC)? programs that can be used?

Non steam will get your entire account disabled. Worse then a VAC ban.

Here you can find all kind of servers to play. I think that they are all VAC secure.
I think that OP asked about non steam servers not non steam game to download.

Makes sense. There is no risk in joining any server, official or not.

Except that non-Steam servers are still game piracy. I doubt that they even run VAC, but it's still far from cool.

So I can go into any server and use the EAC SXE and when needed?

When a server is VAC I can not use the SXE and EAC, correct?
