Either you or someone with access to your account used a known cheat and got banned.

If your ban really was a mistake it will automatically be removed.
How on earth can you possibly know this?

VAC Bans are permanent: Do not ask to be unbanned

No. VAC bans cannot be appealed. If a VAC ban is issued incorrectly it will be automatically removed after investigation, but Steam Support does not manually remove VAC bans applied to accounts for any reason.

....and less than 1% of all VAC bans are incorrect.
A VAC ban doesn't mean you used cheats, only that either cheats or unapproved modifications to the game were detected on the machine you were playing on.
but, and i speak from experience, the chance that that would happens is something like 0,0000000000000001% and the chance that you are lying is 99,999999999999999%
Nope.

VAC bans are placed due to the detection of "cheats" (as defined per YOUR agreement) on a device. Nothing to do with whether you used any potential offered by these cheats or were even aware of their existence.
IF such a ban is determined to have been issued incorrectly - which is astronomically unlikely - then it is removed automatically.
There is no need to post here.

If you wish to "get back to CSGO with this account" you simply connect to non-secured servers and have fun playing against all those others caught in this "ban wave"
^^
I have seen a total of ONE actually-erroneous ban removed here over the last 2 years now, so... the chances of these "oh no why" bans recently is low but not ... COMPLETELY out of the question.
I will say that Steam's servers have been wonky lately, above and beyond the tuesday maintenance issues that come up every week, though, and there HAVE been some moments of "I saw a ban on my account but now it's not there" - though those didn't last longer than the couple hours it took to fix server glitches.
I'm just more guessing there was a cheat that recently got swept into the system.
