You did not answer the question. What does modify mean in that sentence? Modifying the program? Modifying the gaming experience? Again, it cannot be the latter for the reasons I listed twice so far.
could be sticky tape on your screen if vac could detect that.
the word "any" should not need explaining IMO.
Now we have gotten somewhere. You have claimed *anything* that gives an advantage including sticky tape is not allowed, and would be checked for is possible. I disagree and am extremely confident that is not true and that others at Steam will confirm that. It cannot be true because there are things that could be checked for on the computer that are not such as maps of the Rust world.
I explained VAC detects 2 things.
cheat signatures and editing/changing/modifying core files.
you got banned for that files cheat signature in your active memory wile connected to a VAC secured server.
not for editing/changing/modifying core files
You made a claim about what "any" in the FAQ means.
"any means any
could be sticky tape on your screen if vac could detect that."

not my claim the word just has that meaning , correct me if I am wrong.
valve is always very carefull about the wording of these things.

You just said it means that.
"any means any
could be sticky tape on your screen if vac could detect that."
You said it perfectly clearly. You are denying what you wrote right there. Would you like to retract that?
if it can be detected in a legal way vac will ban for it.

Okay, you are saying that Valve's use of the word any includes sticky tape on the screen and that they would detect that of they could.
To which I replied that I disagreed that is included in their use of the word any. Proof of that is that it would also include things on one's computer that can be detected such as maps of the Rust world or Rust reference apps. If what you say they mean by "any" is correct than those things are included and detected and they are not.
you must be dumb not to realize that
I am explaining the FAQ to you.
That simply is not true. There are many things that could be detected such as, again maps, other apps, and your hardware.
adding files is not modifying core files.
Having maps of the world *does* give an advantage. Having better hardware *does* give an advantage that could be detected would be checked. Those are not checked for. You said *anything* that gives an advantage would be. It is not.
"adding files is not modifying core files."
Correct. But you just said modifying core files was not the only thing Valve means by "any" modification. You just said by "any" Valave includes sticky tape if it could be detected.
You directly contradicted yourself. You said "any means any" and gave a dictionary link then immediately limited "any" to mean modifying core files. Which is it. Does Valve mean "anything" that gives an advantage that they can detected or not?
tought luck yours could be detected.
