VAC and Mactype?
Does anyone knows if MacType is safe from VAC-protected games?

MacType is a little software that replaces Windows's ClearType font rendering thingy with the FreeType font rendering engine, which gives fonts a perfect anti-aliasing, and fixes some issues with font rendering.

Here's an example of how useful this tiny software is, for the curious people:

The thing is: I did read somewhere that it uses a hook to inject the font rendering engine into the programs.

So... My question is: Is anyone using this software in the background while playing VAC protected games? Is it safe to use?
I don't really want to setup a fake account and wait months to get my answer. :/

The after-screenshot looks just as hideous, as the before-screenshot. So what's the point?

Having something at least readable.

They look equally bad. No difference.

Probably. I'd stay away from it.

I'll disable it when I'll want to play VAC protected games, then. Thank you. :3
