DS3 Tool SCPService VAC risk?

I could go into technical details but im sure that will go over everyones head here.

Basically VAC detects modifications to a game, specifically a game (which is why you wont be VAC'd for having a tool like ollydb/cheat engine open while in a VAC server but you'll get screwed as soon as you actually hook it to the secured process)

Would a tool that wraps DS3 Controller input and makes it xinput compatable falsely trigger VAC protection if it has to run as a global service?

I believe its safe because its just interfacing with a driver/hardware controller however the fact it requires a listen service to filter input means it has a global hook which may affect csgo.

Another piece of similar software was motioninjoy which was VAC safe but riskware.

Any ideas?

tl;dr is the driver software i linked above VAC safe and am i just overthinking stuff.
Its purpose is to make a game recognise a DS3/4 (playstation) controller as an xinput (microsoft/xbox) controller.

I suggest getting a proper gamepad. After all, one of the perks of consoles is that stuff just works. Why not just get stuff that just works for PC too?

Im too much a cheap ♥♥♥♥ to bust out $60 for an xbox controller since i dont own an xbox.
I guess i'll just have to remember to close the service whenever i play VAC secured games to be safe then.

They're cheaper. The wired 360 one is more like 30 to 40 and its also a PC gamepad. And you have a PC.

Even if you do get banned, you'll be fine. Valve has fixed mistakes like that in the past.

Pricetag sounds right if you live in the US, im in australia so i was talking about AUD.

play games with -insecure launch option to never worry about accidental vac stuff

it wont, i currently use ds4 as of now (platform upgrade) but used ds3 in the past still in csgo

It doesnt hook the game it hooks the device input with a service, so im fine there unless VAC detects that as a modification for some reason??

I played a few PB secured games with it running and didnt get punkbuster kicked, and because PB is a far more aggressive anticheat than VAC is im assuming from that test its safe/doesnt interface with the game.
