VAC for phone sharing
I left gaming long time ago, meanwhile I didn't pay attention and my account was stolen, IDK, data breach, they guess my pass no idea.

I recovered the account after some efforts...

When I checked, surpise,

Bans applied by the Game Developer
Counter-Strike 2 - Applied due to phone sharing - View Help Page
Counter-Strike 2 - Applied due to phone sharing - View Help Page

Looks like, after I brain stormed for years, this guy stole / buy stolen accounts to play CSGO, he used his phone number on my account to have control over it, BUT he CHEATED on his own account, and all his accounts under same phone number where banned, including mine.

Is this FAIR?! No one cheated from my account, but because phone number sharing the hacker used, I got banned?

Is this fair?

That is not the community's place to answer. Securing your account is always your responsibility.

How do VAC bans relate to phone numbers?

VAC bans are applied to all accounts sharing a phone number at the time of the infraction. For this (and many other) reasons we do not recommend sharing your phone number or using another user's phone number on your Steam account. Accounts sharing the phone number that do not own the game the VAC ban is for will still receive a VAC ban and will not be able to purchase the game moving forward.

There are no restrictions placed on phone numbers that were on an account when the account was VAC banned; phone numbers can immediately be used on new accounts.

Note: This feature is not enabled for all games and is used at the discretion of the developer.

I am asking if its fair, because the guy who stole my account, disn't even cheated from my account but from his and because of the phone number, vac shared which is unfair.

Your account is your responsibility. Someone else using it is your mistake so it's fair that you have to bear the consequences. You have made a mistake!

Lifting the ban wouldn't be fair. Lifting bans based on this excuse would mean cheaters can fake hijacked accounts and go unpunished forever making it unfair to gamers who never made any mistakes.

Bro, they have the power to research this issue in details and confirm.

The cheater DID NOT CHEAT from MY account, but from his own, but because he used his phone number to secure the account he stole from me, my account got banned for phone sharing.

IS UNFAIR, and is not in TOS FAQ.

Yes, if the guy who steal my account, cheat from MY account, playing the game, that's all right and fair, is on the TOS and FAQ, but what happened to me is not fair nor in rules.

Yes, bans carry over he phone# at the time of the infraction. That's how it's supposed to work, that's intentional. That's actually said by Valve themselves in the support article.

Whether the hijacker used the power over your account to cheat directly or to attach a phone# is irrelevant. Both hinge on the hijacker having power over your account. Do yourself a favor and don't get hung up on (dumb) technicalities.

Show me exactly where.

You are reading between the lines of what I am saying.

If the cheating session was not happening from my account at the time of infraction, you can't apply this ban, is unfair, and is abusive to do this.

You won't Valve is not here, nobody from Valve does read these forums and support does not deal with Bans.

Actions have consequences, or in your case, inaction. The ban's permanent.

So this is all useless no reasoning, no logic, no one who can actually resolve this.
