VAC Banned for opening from pinned Taskbar icon

My son opened csgo from the pinned icon on his task bar instead of the steam shortcut and got a vac ban. When I email steam they only send automated response. Who else can I contact?

Doesn't have to be a 'cheating app' - core file modifications which are barely recognisable in the said game can result in a VAC ban and unless you comparatively scan over 50,000 files; you're better off just reformatting your entire PC. The ban is permanent and wont be removed under any circumstances. If your story is true; you should be weary about the activity that happens on your very own device.

2. The ban is delayed. Whatever got him banned happened days or weeks ago. The account was flagged for a ban right then and there, and it was applied later. The taskbar thing or whatever had nothing to do with it.
