Vac bans come from the detection of known cheats. Keep in mind that skinchangers are considered cheats.
Vac bans are permanent and non-negotiable.
Well, there is something that can be misunderstood as a wave. The case being when a popular cheat finally becomes detectable, more people than usual get banned. It's not a wave, more like just a coincidence.
Absolute rubbish. There's been some genuine waves in the past where Valve has handed out tens of thousands of delayed VAC bans over the space of a few days. It doesn't happen very often though.
Unlikely. Cheaters having multiple accounts banned in one go happens every day. I haven't seen anything stats wise to suggest an unusual surge in bans over the last few days.
These forums are not official Steam support. Steam will give out minimal information if you ask them. They'll probably just tell you Valves anti cheat software issued a ban without giving specific information as to what sort of cheat feature of software got detected.
Stop believing everything you read on the internet.
