I think I got vac banned

I played a mach of competitive I won that and then went and played an arms race with my friends , half way thru i got disconected and told that my vac is not connected or something and now if i search for a mach it finds me one then disconects , I have never used hacks or something that will get me banned and I dont even know how to install them so why the hell did i get vac banned , fix this
