VAC kick from CS2

What is funny is that some kid was claiming that I was cheating due to my old 1500 days old vac bans on old cod accounts and "waching me in warmup".. I was asking how exactly I'm cheating with my negative KD and 2 death game and then I get kicked by VAC.. now - I know for a FACT there is nothing installed on my PC so could it just be a connection issue like it suggests? I just checked and I'm not VAC banned so maybe it could've been a false detection? Idk - but how can I make sure I don't get falsely vac banned? I've just come back to CS (I never really played it in the first place) and I'm somewhat enjoying it.

Again, I do not cheat. Those vac bans on my account were from over 4 years ago when I was a literal child playing Mw2 2008.. I literally have a clip of this ♥♥♥♥ happening, and i can provide any evidence that is needed to prove it lol..

Just to clarify too, I was able to rejoin games after restarting steam.. if I was cheating - I would've been vac banned permanantly

If you got an error about something blocking VAC, that's not something that can result in a ban. It will prevent you from playing until you fix whatever it is, though.

Thank you for not automatically assuming lmao, I did restart steam and that fixed the issue.. Only "new" software I have on my PC is SteelSeries Engine and using Sonar. I also do have MSI Afterburner running too - could that possibly cause issues?

Since it's a timeout, it could be pretty much anything. Maybe Windows was doing something at that moment that slowed it down. Maybe some background process was installing an update. If it doesn't happen again, I wouldn't think too hard about it.

Appreciate it mate, I did notice my ethernet slipped out so it got put on wifi. Maybe this happened mid game and caused it to time out?

1) the current owner of this steam account bought the steam account without knowing it got multiple vac bans and 1 game ban

Seller will never share such information with buyer at all

that there is a very good speculation, except the fact this has always been my steam account - and as I said above, those bans are from old COD's back when I was a literal child who thought cheating was "fun"..

Bans in a game = You cheat, plain and simple. It's your actual way of life. You keep making excuses for it when you get caught, deal with it.

Yea multiple vac bans and a game ban and never cheated .... sure what are the odds? I mean I know it was a time ago, but lets be honest it doesn't strengthen your case

Whatever games you got banned from, just go make new Steam account and rebuy those games when cheap during sales. If you still want to play them. Use the current account for games not banned on, or single player games.

So, I seem to be having the same issue. I've followed a couple of suggestions:
1. Verification of integrity of game files.
2. Reinstalled the game.

But I'm still getting kicked from games due to VAC?

I also have afterburner running, maybe this is an issue?

I've never cheated and don't even know how and I would really dig to just play a few games after a rough week in the office.
