I've read the posts. Most people say they cheat. I don't know anything about cheating programs.

Depending on what game, cheating may not be the only thing you can get banned for.

Regardless no one on the forum or Steam Support can remove the ban.

Bad faith devs like Amazon will issue game bans for not playing their games. I've seen some issue bans for bad reviews. Valve won't move a finger because these bad faith actors are considered "trusted" to be given access to the game ban system. That said OP probably just left cheat engine running in background and got flagged or something "legitimate" like that. Would be funny if they were one of Amazon's Lost Ark victims though.

Still offtopic not correct board (go to the board of the game that hurt you).

That is just plain wrong. I've stopped playing Lost Ark, an Amazon game, over a year ago, still not banned.

391 days later and you only realise now that you have a gameban. sorry for you but bans are permanent. so did you buy the account? which is also against steam rules

IIRC even if you had been caught up in that snafu, Amazon rolled back all the lost ark bans for inactive accounts after massive backlash.

So yes, they DID ban for that. But they also unbanned all of those affected, so it's only a partially true statement anyway.
