Is the program EXITLAG safe to use.
I want to use EXITLAG to play CS2. Is this program safe/approved by Steam or VAC or will it get flagged by VAC. It's a program similar to WTFAST which from what I read was sold a while back on Steam. Read all the past discussions and found no affirmative answer on whether this program is safe to use. If someone who actually works for Valve/Steam could chime in, I would appreciate it. I'm in North America and it would be used to play in North America. The company says its okay, but I would like an actual response from the only company that matters which is Valve/Steam. Thank You.

If it injects into the game files, then it may get flagged by VAC.
That's what I don't know. That company may say it doesn't just to sell it to users. If it only works like a VPN, then i suppose its okay. However, if it only works like a VPN then i should be able to get the same results without having to use it.

No one working for Valve/Steam will answer here.
This is a userforum.
And not even Steam Support will comment if a third party program is safe or not.
So if this is only a userforum, is there a way to contact Valve/Steam directly?

Ping manipulation will lead to bad consequences, not with VAC itself but with VACnet.

'the company says its ok'

yeah good for them, but they dont control the anti cheat. the dev makes the anti cheat and decides what is illegal on their game.

if you use any mod, on a game with anti cheat, you are asking for it.

if you mod a game with anti cheat, and you get banned, dont come back here crying about it, you will get roasted in the comments. you've been warned.

its a bad idea.

If you have to ask if something is safe to use, don't use it.

Simple rule of thumb.

I don't think that is what OP wanted in the first place, he probably knows how to disable it already.

I assume by turning off VAC you mean he chooses to use only non VAC protected servers.
Because turning off VAC would kind of defeat the purpose of VAC. :P

That may be why OP specifically asked about VAC. If VAC isn't enabled anyway, you could basically use whatever you like.

Yeah, but again, how would someone disable VAC.
