CS2 says I have a VAC ban, Steam says I have a perma-ban

Hello, I recently (1 wk ago) got around to downloading CS2 after playing CS:GO (prime member) for years. I played a few deathmatches and then played 2 comp games over the weekend. The next time I opened the game, I see I have a VAC ban in CS2. Steam is telling me that I have a perma-ban for CS2 due to a VAC ban. Can someone tell me if this was an automatically generated ban? I have never once cheated or griefed in any game ever, let alone CS2. I only have like 80 total hours on the game (CS:GO + CS2) so its not like I have even played that much.

I believe this ban was made in error, but I do not know what to do next in this situation as there appears to be no way to contact valve to appeal this issue. I have contacted steam support, but no response. Please help.

Game bans in CS2 ain't just for cheating.

Game bans in CS2 are permanent, non-negotiable and cannot be lifted by anyone, not even steam support.

If you're willing to help, is there any way of figuring out what happened? I haven't ever griefed or team-killed except on accident. I am struggling to figure out why I have been GAME banned. What are the common reasons people get GAME banned? I am not even that good at the game, so I don't know why it flagged me as someone that needed to be banned

No one here or for that matter Steam Support can help. Valve does not accept appeals or provide any details on what caused the ban.

I wish I could. Believe me, I do. But, like everyone else in here, I can only share what is written in Steam's own documentation.

And as i said, it does not say VAC banned anywere.
It's not even a red banner at the top that would be present if the account were VAC banned.

Oh, thats strange that it would say "Valve anti cheat" and "you have been banned" even though it isn't a ban from Valve anti cheat. I did not realize that there is a red banner that pops up if someone gets "VAC banned"
