Can i play CS2 with a VAC ban on CSGO?

I don't wanna have to download the game just do uninstall again right after, so please let me know. Basically 4,5 years ago some chinese idiot hijacked my account and cheated on my favorite game and tried to steal my dota skins. Steam does not care if i didn't do it even with evidence, so there is that.

cs2 is an update to csgo, it is not a new game. the ban is permanent. make a new steam account and start over in the game if you want to be able to play csgo after the update

and steam does care. it is very easy to fake an account hijacking then claim to have been "hacked". you are the one responsible for the security of your account. you failed to protect your log in.

You are right. I was responsible for the security of it, and i failed. Does not change the fact that it did happen. Please does not make assumptions on a something you don't know.

No. Accounts with VAC or game bans in CS:GO cannot play Counter-Strike 2 on VAC-secured servers.
