Vac gone after 2700 days?

I have a friend who was Vac Banned like 2700 days ago. She was a child at that age, so i can understand it at some point.

Now after 7 / 8 years the BAN TAG of her profile is gone for no reason. ¿Why? Im just curious, she not even know why. I though VAC bans were permanent.

Dont get me wrong. She is an adult and very nice person now, who plays clean and legit. So i would say she deserve it. Im very happy for her but just i do not understand.

If i am honest im kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with this, Valve said their Van Bans are permanent, non-negotiable and not removable. So, whats happend Valve... My soul is in search of an answer.

They are still banned. The red text disappears after 7 years for everyone but the account owner.

The red VAC notice on the profile disappears after 2400+ days or something.
But the ban itself stays.

The ban is still there. After 7 years they just become invisible.

I see, thats kinda nice. I glad is gone then. Im happy for her. Because i found a lot of people who judged her before knowing her and that always pissed me up. So im glad it is gone. Thanks for the fast answer.
