Will cheats and cheaters always be in CS?

When CS first came out. They released their code to this game. 1.6 was so bad with cheaters. Thats why I quit and closed my servers down. If that code was not released we would be playing a better version of 1.6 now. CSGO is just as bad because the source was released. Now I hear we can make our own maps again? And people can make their own cheats again. For all of the years that I have played CS? I just wanted it to be cheat free. VAC is crap. I guess we will see how this all turns out. Valve. Keep your code to yourself. I have had my times of making skins. I just want a cheat free game. And have fun.

sorry you think that vac is crap. most people expect vac to be an active process, but they are making it passive.

vac is doing a glorious job considering there are total losers that PAY for cheats. eventually vac will win, because as a cheat gets more popular, that increases the likelihood of it being snitched.

unfortunately there's a lot of idiots who defend cheaters in VAC secured games for some dumb reason. hopefully that stops.

and hopefully with cs 2 we see more changes in the vac system. I'd like it to be paid only and not permitted for mods. allowing mods is basically just letting cheaters in the front door. do agree.

unfortunately, doesn't matter what game it is or how popular it is or if it has anti-cheat system or not. you will always have cheaters.

Yes we all want to play without cheaters but there is no way around it besides having some form of anti-cheat system

Most people think it's crap due how vac works vac will not instantly ban you so you can potentially cheat a few days/weeks till the ban hits

That's because VAC does not ban that kind of stuff. That's what Overwatch is for. You're only showing that you don't know much about VAC in general or you would not be saying it doesn't work.

There's about 500 threads a day that get made here from people wanting their bans removed.

If you would have read what I posted you would know that you cannot stop cheating, not totally. Why? Because it is a human problem, not a cheating one.

You can't fix humans and make them not cheat.

I was around when VAC came out. We were told that it was a way of catching people using cheats. We were all for it. I just played two rounds on a server in csgo and people were walling. Didn't give a crap. If the source was not released to people we would not have this problem. I just hope that CS2 has a better way of catching cheats and not making money. Its just a game.
