Spam Reported?

Hello, I have played matchmaking today and have been acused of hacking(I am not). The guy mentioned sending in 400+ reports through some site I assume and that it would definetely get me banned. Is this true due to the amount of reports I would recieve? Kind of panicking cause I have skins on this account I would like to keep. Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance!

VAC does not ban based on reports. It detects known cheats.

Also, reports are based on credibility, not quantity. If the report is invalid it is irrelevant how many times you are reported.

Apparently it seems to be working in League of Legends, not 100% sure, but have seen something similar happen. Good to know it doesn't work on steam.

posting for reassurance.

spam reports, 400, 1000, 4000, will not influence a VAC ban. A user using a report bot like that, will actually risk a ban on themselves, as that breaks the terms of service. They may have their accounts banned or locked.

I believe this is just an empty threat, from someone who is angry that you can click them every time.

if someone was going to use cyber attack on you, they would do it, they wouldn't warn you so you had time to unplug your pc from the internet.

There is no need to panic.

VAC only issues a ban due to cheating detected from the computer, a report won't facilitate this process, it's not open to abuse like the league of legends system which has often failed its playerbase.

it doesn't "work" on league of legends either, you won't get banned for multiple reports, your account will get reviewed for multiple reports that's all.

As someone who reviewed hundreds of cases when "the Tribunal" was still a thing before it was automated because of machine learning, I can guarantee you that playing fair wouldn't get you banned in LoL.
