been vac banned for literally no reason.

I got home a few minutes ago and I opened my pc to a big alert of being vac banned on cs:go for absolutely no reason. I haven't played the game since the 16th this month and yet I still got banned. I never used any type of cheat on this account as I knew the risk and I didn't want to take it. I only played hvh on alt accounts as first I didn't want to get vac banned on my main and second I didn't want to ruin anyone's experience. Again I haven't played cs:go on this account since the 16th of this month , I really don't think this is fair and I know this won't do anything to my vac ban but I just felt the need to post about it.

Edit: Thank you to everyone who actually did send some useful information as on why I could've got banned, from this point I won't respond to any new comments as I feel like it is useless. I got good responses that helped me understand everything better and I thank all of you, even with good or bad responses.

Firstly vac bans are delayed so it could very well be that the infriction occurred well before the 16th. Secondly ALL vac bans are for KNOWN cheats

No one gets banned for "nothing" or "no reason" unless that's the name of the cheat that was detected.

All VAC bans come from the detection of a known cheat. Whether it is used on the account itself or some sort of sharing has occurred (account, library, computer, or phone number).

VAC bans are permanent, non-negotiable, and cannot be removed.

Anything that tampers with protected game files is treated as a cheat regardless of it giving an advantage or not (skin changers, etc). Steam/Valve will not release any information about what was detected

VAC bans are delayed from the time of the detection to the time that the ban is actually applied. What you were doing when the ban was applied, is irrelevant.

Users are responsible for the security and all activity on the account.

vac automatically bans people due to detected cheating. there is no other reason and no need to create fake rumors. no one here believes the fake story, other cheaters have already told every conceivable one.

this was detected weeks ago, but the ban is delayed.

included, no one who can reverse your ban reads this forum, there is no appeal forum.

I know that vac bans can't be lifted or anything and I am not trying to make it look bad or even get it lifted, I just felt the need to say this. Even if my account was hacked somehow (even if i have steam guard and a secure password), I am 100% fine with that as I know it's my fault. But again I really don't use cheats nor skin changers. About the detected part that might've been it, and I take again full responsibility about it as I never deleted the cheats from my pc's hard drive. Thank you for the information and I'll make sure for it to not happen again.
