Life time VAC Bans is ridiculous

Not all people are perfect some people make mistakes and some are curious I believe a vac ban should be severe but not permanent. Like a ban for 5 months or a year. I am sure if anyone hacked and got a year's ban will never use the hack again. I think 5 month to 1-year ban is more than enough to enforce anti-cheat in csgo.

I am a vac banned and I used to cheat when I was depressed and down in life and I Yolo'ed everything up. Now I paid the price and lost my account. does that mean I will ever use the hack again? Nope never of course.

You don't need to be "perfect" to understand that cheating in a game where cheating isn't allowed is going to result in consequences. You only need the most basic reading skills.

"This server is VAC protected. Cheating will result in a permanent ban."

Luckily, Valve actually tried this in the past with temporary VAC bans. Because of this, we know that your certainly is wrong and uninformed. Temporarily-banned accounts were swapped around and used to cheat again as soon as their ban expired; it accomplished nothing.

Why "of course"? If you've already shown you're willing to make poor decisions like setting everything in your life on fire with no regards for the consequences, then you're exactly the kind of person who would cheat again and again. "Of course" you're permabanned on this account; you're a cheater.

But everyone here on the Internet has basic reading skills, which is, again, what is required to understand that cheating where cheating is not allowed is not a good idea. If you're claiming that you're so unstable that you shouldn't be held responsible for your own actions, then you should be seeking immediate psychiatric help and counseling, not playing video games.

This isn't Twitter. The players that could be "regained" are cheaters, and have either made new accounts as they're allowed to do or have moved on from the game they cheated in. It's your choice which one you pick, but getting unbanned isn't one of your options.

Cheaters coming back? No thanks. Anyhow, many go on to create new accounts and just cheat again anyway so temporary bans are pointless. Even a permanent ban is very generous - many think Valve should community ban accounts involved in this behaviour.

How so? When an account gets a community ban, it means the account violated the Steam Subscriber Agreement. Cheating violates that same agreement. Apparently, you have not read it.

I have 2500 Hours with Zero cheats less then 10 Hours of cheating = perm ban

To clarify I know i have a game ban but its a cheat ban which is perm, same thing.

I'm going to say this again as plainly as possible as you are still not realizing it. We can see the comments on your profile. We know that you admitted to cheating. We know that you purposely got the account banned because you were frustrated with cheaters and decided to use cheats against them. Then, you came here, and tried to claim that you cheated because you were depressed.

Is this finally getting through to you now?

Also your hours don't mean anything, any account is capable of cheating. Every Steam user gets one chance not to cheat. You blew that chance. Reformat to remove all traces of the cheat and create a new account and do not cheat on that new account.

I think you missed op's reply to someone mentioning temp bans not working in the past.

"Thanks for te detailed answer, well i think its been thought about and they tried. perma ban it is."

I for one thinks its rare to spell out such an conclusion on a online forum .

Yep and that's why some people want the same level of punishment for severe breaches of the agreement for consistency. You can simply be community banned for flaming in a forum once yet someone who deliberately violates the game licence by software tampering only gets a ban which doesn't have anywhere near the same level of consequence.

I imagine that it was fun for you to ruin people's game. You're just a terrible player that had to cheat in order to be an average.
