Rust server admins don't like cheaters, so usually they exclude VAC banned accounts.

Get a new account or play vanilla

Then make a new account and buy the game again. Looks like the developers of Rust are just like most people and don't like cheaters, no matter what game they did it in.

While VAC and game bans (in most cases) do not affect other games, some server admins of custom servers intentionally ban players that have VAC or game bans in other games from their custom servers because they deem such players to not be trustworthy.

Server admins can restrict anyone they want from playing on their servers. Including users with VAC or game bans for any game.

RUST specifically does this.

you can still play rust witha VAC ban, facepunch dont care all their vinilla servers have cheaters hence why u able to still play, but custom servers keep cheaters like u from joing a good server and runing it for otehrs , either play with your own kind or make new account and buy game again, and dont link or share with old accound, you gonna have to respend more money which is good for you, and if u hardware ban then well better replace all parts in your cpu just to be safe, maybe you should by new computer
