Yeah, I thought that because it is the same input for Windows and it is not done from the drivers, but I want to be really sure. You know what the saying "better safe than sorry" haha.
Then there's no problem with the software either? Since it is a command where two keys are casted together to bind another one... I thought that could be considered as a macro or something.
In theory they're NOT macros, just mapping, because the OS detects the input as a normal key, but I don't know... Hmm... I think I should not use the keyboard then...
No. Most "gaming" keyboards have programs/the ability to rebind keys, record macros etc.
Yeah, but in some online games you cannot do macros (thing that I understand), and this is not supposed to be one, but I'm worried about the possibility that could be considered a macro.
Marco or mapping.., almost same f-ing thing
, both can be used for cheating purposes and likely result in game ban(if caught).
But VAC doesn't ban you for "mapping/marco/rebind".
(It certainly has the ability to detect if you're using a macro related software or not, It just chooses not to process that information)
Should I stop using the keyboard then? I only mapped de F keys and the arrow keys. Usually I don't use them on games, but I don't want to be banned for that (In general, not only for VAC).
Edit: the software just updates the firmware, so, it is not running, the keyboard loads the settings by itself.
