• Bans, Competitive Cooldowns, and You
• If this relates to a VAC Ban
• If this relates to a CS:GO Overwatch Game Ban
• If this relates to a Game Ban
Valve has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating and you will not be unbanned under any circumstances.
If you wish to purchase the game again on a new account, please remove all traces of the cheat.
I never cheated and never will.
That does not mean that I have been rightfully convicted. If I had been cheating I would've recieved a VAC ban by now would I not? It has been 200+ days since the ban and I'm sure Valve has already sent some kind of software to scan my files for cheats.
I have played CS since the Source days on my brother's account with him and prediction of the positions at that time were not very difficult if you had played the game for more than 2 years straight.
Can you then help me with this issue? I find it disheartening that players of a rank of Gold Nova 1 can attain the rank of an overwatch inspector, let alone deliver a verdict that can ultimately determine the fate of an account.
The thing that I would like to remind everyone of is that humans are not machines, and that they can make mistakes. I am not implying that overwatch inspectors are at faulty at the core, or that they always make misjudgements, but I am merely saying that there is no possibility that I have and or would cheat in CS:GO.
My case could just've been the 1/1000 or 1/10000 people that get wrongfully banned. However, I would like to bring the point that everyone can make mistakes. Including Overwatch Inspectors.
If you would like and you are able to, instigate a VAC scan on my CS:GO files. I am very sure that you will find nothing of the sorts which relate to cheating
How do you do that though. I have sent numerous steam tickets and havent even gotten a C&P reply.
If you have been found guilty by Overwatch you will receive one of two messages:
• Convicted by Overwatch - Minorly Disruptive: players receiving this message have been found guilty of in-game griefing and receive a 30 day ban in CS:GO.
• Convicted by Overwatch - Majorly Disruptive: players receiving this message have been found guilty of cheating and are permanently banned in CS:GO. These players can create a new account and re-purchase CS:GO if they wish to continue playing.
Note: players receiving a major conviction will not be able to trade or use the market in CS:GO.
Overwatch bans are non-negotiable and cannot be removed or reduced by Steam Support.
It isn't necessary for a player to be exceptionally skilled to be a good Overwatch Investigator. For example, we would expect casters to be good Investigators regardless of their skill level given their experience in observing highly skilled play.
Every new Investigator will enter the pool with a low score, which only increases based on the accuracy of their verdicts. This process gives everyone a chance to participate while ensuring that only the best Investigators drive case outcomes.
Since the beginning of Overwatch, we have been extensively reviewing Investigators’ Overwatch Scores. There is no systematic difference in Overwatch Scores between Investigators who play in low, medium, and high skill groups.

I have seen that explanation a thousand times before. I know that there is a very low chance of there being a wrongful conviction, and I would like to appeal this as one of the very low chances that the system has indeed failed. Overwatch is not foolproof, just like VAC and other anticheat software
