Over 100 people checked your gameplay for 8 rounds and found you guilty for cheating or griefing the second time.
A game ban is not a VAC ban. Inquiries about them are off-topic here.
Assuming a chance of 50% for anyone pressing "innocent" (one single such vote would be enough) for all people not seeing you as rightfully innocent, the chance for all people of a hundred to say guilty wrongly is (50%)^100 = 0.5 * 0.5 * 0.5 * ... * 0.5 * 0.5 * 0.5 = 7.8886 * (10 ^ (-31)) = 0.000000000000000000000000000078886 % (7.8886 * (10^(-29)) %). It's astronomically more likely to win the lottery jackpot than to get banned wrongly.
That's 1 in 1,267,650,600,228,229,401,496,703,205,376 accounts that would be banned unfairly.

Appealing an Overwatch ban is futile.

The account has a GAME ban.

Game bans have nothing to do with VAC or this forum.
CS:GO game bans are permanent and cannot be appealed.
A game ban in CS:GO is either for blatant cheating, a second griefing offense, or being involved in account boosting....no other reasons.
Users are responsible for the security of the account and all activity on the account.
Be aware that if the game ban is superseded by a VAC ban later, this means that both anti-cheat systems (Overwatch and VAC) determined that the account was cheating. The VAC ban takes precedence on the profile.
The ban will still be permanent and it still cannot be appealed.
Does that say that there are other reasons for the ban besides cheating?
Yes.
If you're going to make a thread, please read all of the information that is given to you.
Overwatch bans are non-negotiable and cannot be removed or reduced by Steam Support.

As you were already told, the ban is permanent and cannot be appealed.
hello
you have a VAC ban, not GAME ban. these two bans are different.
VAC flagged your account a very long time ago. we don't know exactly when, but cheating was detect (any tamper with files, modification) causes an account to be flagged. i have played on vac protected servers for ~20 years, and never had a strange wrongful ban. wrongful ban is simply not true.
the ban is applied at a random interval to stop cheaters from being able to change their cheats.
cheaters can't win this war.
sorry for your situation but the ban will be permanent. the items will forever locked on this account.
only option is to play on a different account now, and never cheat again if you decide to $$$.
best regards
If your account had a GAME ban but it is now displaying a VAC ban, then that means that both anti-cheat systems (Overwatch and VAC) determined that the account was cheating. The VAC ban takes precedence on the profile.

all VAC bans come from the detection of a known cheat, whether it is used on the account itself or some sort of sharing has occurred (account, library or phone number).
Users are responsible for the security of the account and all activity on the account.

Game bans have nothing to do with VAC or this forum.
BUT in this circumstance, having the ban change from a GAME ban to a VAC ban is as certain as anything in life, the account was caught cheating, as mentioned above.
Why apologize, OP doesn’t deserve it. Whether it was them directly cheating or indirectly via carelessness, their situation is on them and empathy is not deserved
And you call yourself Hammer of Evil 🤦♂️
ahaha
im already on thin ice with steam admin. one more solid ban from this forum for me is permanent.
trust me, i used to scorch the skin off them. makes most of the shade in this forum look like big poofy gentle gloves. but the latest crop of admins don't like it when i do that. lol.
i have to trust you guys to carry the legacy or wait till the rules get more lenient again maybe.
I wouldn’t necessarily call this a legacy. I mean sure, you have regulars who do just fine (I won’t name anyone because there are some good apples in this forum that I don’t want to disrespect by forgetting them) and others who are quick learners. In the end my subjective opinion is that the crybabies that want their ban removed should be shown the same empathy that they show the gamers they cheated out of their fun.
Some of my personal favorite “totally honest players that never cheated in their life” (top 3, my opinion, no particular order):
Someone who was gifted a knife from their dad who died a month later and their account was banned shortly after…..
Someone who threatened to sue until they realized that their own account outed them as a pirate…..
The idiots who think that that the way VAC works is flawed because it advocates ban evasion, despite those that lose their precious inventory as punishment
Sorry for rambling, and thank you for taking my comment as intended. This place can be nuts but it is never dull
Account was convicted by two separate and independent anticheat systems.
This makes the chance of being a mistake pretty much zero.
