Can you get IP Banned?

Yesterday I was playing a comp. Then my friend Ddos me for 5 min. After the Ddos Ci couldn't sign into steam... I did everything to fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled, removed everything but steam.exe and steamapps, restarting my computer and my router. Is there anyway possible i can be IP Banned?

Could be possible if you were server banned, but that wouldn't happen with Competitive. Sounds like unfortunate timing of that happening and Steam not working.

Possible. You sure its not account hacked or banned, not the IP. Cause IP bans are rare - unheard of.

Steam doesn't do IP bans, because they're completely pointless.

as the rock god says you cannot be (ip) banned from csgo competitive. only vac or overwatch.

it just sounds like user error to me.

but you do have a vac on record, soooo.

Steam may disable all accounts, connected to one IP, that is true. But usually it happens due to breach of ToS. Also be careful with that "friend" of yours.

Didn't ever happen? Because I don't think so. I even doubt its in the SSA.

idk I tried everything to fix it and nothing was working. I tired my phone hotspot and it worked but when i switched to my wifi back offline

yes that is true but it was over 150 days ago so ik my vac can't be the problem

If it works on your phones hotspot but not on wifi then your router firewall is most likely stopping you connecting to steam or your internet is down.

This however is not a VAC problem, please post in the correct forum.
