edit: Please note that I said "From what I know" I don't work for Valve, I'm just a Steam user like you
How Can I see it is malware and not legit? Can I get VAC from anti-virus programs?
AV don't cause bans, but they may prevent VAC from working hence you from playing.
Finally, use your brain. If someone on the internet tells you to download a chat program you never hears of, its likely a scam. If someone gives you a download link that's not the official web site of the said program, its definitely a scam.
Usually this case occurs from faulty RAM chips and also from various of reasons but again those scenarios happen very rarely.
Already read that. But I just want to know more: This thread
you will only be banned if valve has detected cheat signatures or bits of code which are associated with cheats
don't cheat and you won't get banned
and don't modify any exe or dll files in the game
really?
why does 'Valve Anti-Cheat' ban people who run a self-proclaimed 'Cheat-Engine'
really?!
