Hardware Ban when?

I'm just tired of cheaters avoding vac ban with another steam account and family share.


Hardware ban would be a good option.

Never. HWID bans are very weak by concept and I doubt Valve's commercial partners who run internet cafes would want their £1000+ devices bricked forever because some weasel cheated.

Not gonna happen.

1. They can be changed and Spoofed
2. more than 1 person can use the hardware. Others in the house along with people that may buy the hardware used in the future.

Please search before making threads. HWID bans will never be implemented, because as stated, they can be changed and or spoofed.

VAC doesn't care which account you use. It only cares about what's on the PC being used, since THAT is where the cheats are. Where do you install cheats? On the PC or on the account? On the PC. THAT means that ANY account used on that PC is at risk.

Deleting or uninstalling cheats DOES NOT remove them. So, unless you're using multiple PC's ....making more accounts to avoid VAC bans, is pointless.

...and if you cheat with Family Sharing, both accounts are banned:
