I have 2 things to say, one of those semi-relevant.
1. Cheats are malicious by nature. It might have come with something for CS:GO.
2.Laser-Guided Karma.
They wont get you banned in CSGO however.
If its part of the server rules, its not really morally wrong. Regardless, there is no VAC for Minecraft, and besides perhaps realms, you can only be banned per server.
Its not thread derailing either. OP thinks a hacked client for Minecraft caused the VAC ban, so its fair to discuss, "VAC discussions".
I'd think that it is, by nature, morally wrong, but, if a server lets it, then why not?
However, cheats are malicious by nature (refer to my first post), so they can include something more as a no-good "Bonus". It might have been something such as an aimbot, which injected itself into OP's game files.
BTW, I think Minecraft has enough built-in cheats already xP
I agree its morally wrong to gain an advantage. But on an anarchy server using hacked clients is the norm and allowed. One of the oldest servers still around is an anarchy server.
Obviously on most MC servers it would not be allowed. Which brings up...
THIS! Minecraft hacked clients dont do any injection or anything of that sort, its just a re-written java client, replacing, but not modifying the original client.
Only in creative mode :p
1. Anarchy servers seem to be catastrophic. All those modded clients, are they any fun?
2. The modded clients per se wouldn't, but what if there was a trojan virus which included a CS:GO Hack for no reason? A trojan recently infected my PC and went out hunting for recent files to corrupt and delete via chkdsk. Pretty useless if you ask me...
3. Wouldn't giving admin to everyone be akin to them having those clients?
To 2, If there is such a virus, and personally I doubt it, why attach it to a Minecraft hacked client rather then say, a CSGO cheat? If you wrote a virus to target CSGO, Minecraft would not be the best way to distribute it.
A corrupted exe and VAC detecting active cheat signatures in memory are very different. There are many legit ways to get corrupted files. Thats why steam has a method to verify and re-download files. If it caused bans, we would see a LOT more posts by people askinng for legitimate unbans.
