Play comp even though enemy player has a vac ban?
So I were looking at a match my friends were playing and his headshot flicks looked funny to me so I checked his profile and long and behold he had a VAC ban that 12 days old. How is that even possible? Isn't it impossible to play on VAC secure servers with a VAC ban? :missing:

With a few exceptions for games that share the same Source Engine, VAC bans are game-specific.

There's more games on Steam than CSGO and there's more games than CSGO that use VAC. If somebody got a VAC ban, it's entirely possible that ban is for another game.

In the history of VAC, there's one known case of an account-wide VAC ban: the VAC hider. So apparently, someone indeed came up with a way to hide cheats from VAC. That hider, of course, is by itself detectable. So accounts using that hider got totally VAC-banned. From all games. Funny story, actually.
