Can you get banned if you use built in crosshair?

I have a Asus monitor who has built in Game-Plus. There i can set crosshair on all the time i every game. Is it legal to use in competetive cs go?

Do the three of you have any idea how many topics get posted here where someone says they had no idea that such and such program was bannable by VAC? It happens ALL the time. Valve even tells you to use caution when using any third-party tools AND even if it doesn't trigger VAC...if his gameplay looks suspect, Overwatch will ban the account, which in CS:GO, the game he's referring to - is permanent - just like a VAC ban.

You're failing to understand what monitor crosshairs even are. Its literally an image overlay. You could literally just force a paint image to be overlaid ontop of CSGO and accomplish the exact same thing as far as Valve would be able to tell.

You're failing to understand what Overwatch is. If whatever he uses in game, looks like cheating, the account WILL be banned - permanently. With no involvement whatsoever from VAC. That's what Overwatch does, it catches the stuff that VAC cannot. Now, having said that, are you still going to recommend that this will not get his account banned?


Keep in mind that your advice has no effect whatsoever on your account but has everything to do with his. Is using that monitors crosshair worth a permanent ban? No, certainly not. Especially when the game has one already that will positively not get you banned. Overwatch is not like VAC. Yes, they are both anti cheats, but that is where the similarities end. One is not human, the other is. If those players vote that he is cheating, then his account will be banned permanently. No appeals, just like a VAC ban.

VAC wont ban you for using a Built in cross hair that your Monitors has. Ive been using mine with my Acer XFA 240 while benchmarking Online in CSGO. Youll be fine.

That crosshair is external.

They're not "hacking". If were going by your logic. then we might as well ban 144hz G sync/ Freesync monitors (since their "external hacks") then tell all of the monitor manufactures to not add Game Plus Features like a built in cross hair.

Plus, theyere not running in the um you know background

E Sport players widely encourage using G sync/ Free Sync Monitors and use the built in crosshair settings to improve your aim in first person shooters. Heck, Even the game Overwatch has a Crosshair custom feature.

He's probably talking about monitors with inbuilt Crosshair markers that do not require software.

That's impossible to be detected by VAC unless it's a software based crosshair maker. Besides, if VAC bans these crosshairs on the monitors, then they should also find a way to ban people who draw a physical crosshair with a marker on their monitor panel lmao.

Seen my friend did that on his old 4:3 monitor for a free crosshair while sniper no scopin xD
