Overwatch doesn't work that fast . Lots of holes in this story
As already pointed out, you have no visible ban on your current account. Since you admitted to hacking already, that probably means you got a "permanently untrusted" ban, which will take 24 hours to show up on your account or you were banned on another account. If you were banned on a different account which you used to cheat, that makes it seem more like you created the account with the intention to cheat to take advantage of other players, not to exact revenge on cheaters.
The problem with people who justify their cheating with excuses like, "Everyone else is cheating!" is that they usually don't really know the difference between a good player and a cheater to begin with...and even if they do, they very quickly stop caring and see no reason why they shouldn't just cheat all the time, becoming the very thing they claim to hate.
You have no proof that these other players were cheating. The only proof you have demonstrated in this thread of any cheaters is only yourself, which you openly admit to.
A) You encounter a few cheaters, and you end up getting fed up so much that you begin cheating.
B) In one of the games you cheated, another person gets fed up with the exact same reason you did, and starts doing the same thing you did.
While some of the other comments here are a bit harsh, it is a good idea at looking at yourself before hoping the game will be rid of cheaters once and for all. This is ofcourse assume you are about to have an VAC ban popping up on your profile.
Not only is this an old excuse, and a dumb one, its a bit strange when close to 20% of your "friends" are people with one or more bans.
Ok thanks for writing back. First of all i know what a cheater is and it was very clear. And this isn't a second account. And i don't care about getting banned because that is proof that the anti-cheat is working which i am proud of. It wasn't an excuss it was an explination. And you can believe me or not I just wanted to tell people about this experiance i have had
Yes i know, I have not got anything just for it yet. However, i know all hackers get banned eventually but i was just in a bad mood and although i regret my actions i can not change them
Ah yes. I do agree that is one of the problems. However, although VAC does work. It doesn't quite work quick enough so people like myself who had always be a legitmet player had always tried to get better. And i am using this experience to not only educate my friends and myself but the community that was the whole reason for the post.
Ah, i use to play with smurfs quite a lot so they would get banned. I also played with some hackers because i thought that i would be able to get to my acutal rank which i guess i didn't
I am someone who is quite new to the Overwatch system. I know it is a system that takes time. Please tell me some more holes and i will explain them or fix them
Like i have said ^ i have taken this on the chin. I am going to use this experiance to educate people around me and fix my mistakes in anyway i can.
There are no bans for smurfing. VAC doesn't ban based on performance. It bans based on the detection of known cheat signatures, modifications to VAC secured game files or an attempt to alter active game memory aka cvars. Overwatch bans are not based on skill compared to other players either. Overwatchers look for telltale signs of cheating not if someone is better. OW demos provide extended hit data and more which allows them to see when a player is repeatedly doing things that are not humanly possible.
So those smurfs you played with were cheaters. The point budozero was making was if you hate cheaters so much then why did you keep these "friends?"
I am pretty sure they aren't VAC'd also like i said i did play with cheaters because i didn't feel like i was at the right rank. Also, seening as they are banned they don't play much so i don't see them and i don't remember to remove them
