Can I get VAC banned if I use trainer to get achievements?

Hi, currently I'm playing a shoot em game by the name - Saviors. However, I'm stuck and gradually getting stress out and depressing with the hard and insane levels in which I think is really impossible to play. So, if I use a trainer to play with Steam offline to get achievements, will that land me a VAC ban? Not the install trainer type but those use-when-need type. Also, how do I check if the game is VAC protected? I want to get all the achievements but it's a pain in the @$$. I know cheating is bad but I just wanna get on with it. Please help and thanks =)

PS: If the saviors game has a console cheat... how to do so?

That game has no multiplayer on it. If a game is mp at all (even if you can play single-player) you will see whether it's vac enabled right on the store page.

If your trainer is also used on other games (research that) make sure that it's nowhere to be found if you play an actual vac enabled multiplayer game.

That game savior has the option to let you choose single player or co-op players ( meaning maximum 2 players), so therefore, I'm not sure about it. I have already checked the trainer on their website and it only works for the game Savior with just only 3 cheats, namely infinite health, shield and ammo. That's it. So, to say that I use the trainer to play offline, will I still able to get achievements? And if yes, when I come back online.. will I get banned for using cheats to get achievements? This game is making me nuts but I can't let it go... yet.
