Is the Bhop script allowed by VAC in TF2 ?
I meet many people who use it and talk about it. But it is allowed?

If the script is executed through the in game console, then yes. If you use a 3rd party program to run the script then there is a risk.

Until Valve adds Autohotkey to Vac.

Perhaps not on topic directly, but I dont play either CSGO or TF2.

But how does bunny hopping help at all? In most games, it would be a disadvantage.
Why is it so important to people that they would risk a ban?

It can be used to increase your speed and also generally harder to aim at. But mostly for the speed increase.

But wont it affect your aim if you mid air when someone arrives? It still seems drastic to risk a ban, and people have been strafe jumping unassisted in Quake since, well Quake xD

Yes it can cause your aim to be off but you can correct that with practice. If you do it via the in game console then there is a 0% risk of a ban anyway, so it doesn't really hurt to try.

Although I have many hours in TF2 I've never actually bothered to try and use BHOP. My understanding was it was patched out (or made harder) some time ago. Scripts just make everything a lot easier, why bother to learn the technique when you can do it automatically?

Yeah, I understand what you mean, but I still dont understand it xD That extra aim practice could be used to practice manually bunny hops? Or aiming at people who bunny hop.

And yes, script your entire gameplay, and you can start a game and walk away from the PC without having to be bothered by playing at all :D

Thanks for explaining.
