Using Cheat engine in GTA V got me VAC banned in CSGO

I got VAC banned 4 years ago, at that time i didn´t even knew why, after thinking a while i knew why because i had cheat engine installed. I read many other similar cases, using it in another game (like me in GTA) is dealdy when Valve detects it on your pc. Is there any chance to remove the ban? I really didn´t do anything in csgo with it, can´t they look into the match history, i was awfully bad at that game.

It is impossible to be VAC banned for cheats in other games - your CSGO ones were either directly hooked to the process or injected into the core files.

Plus, your VAC ban is 1448 days old, it will still be permanent.

A wrong would have become lifted a looong time ago.

And a cheat engine doesn't get you banned as long as you don't inject it into a VAC secured game - having it installed or cheating in another game doesn't trigger VAC. Thats one of the oldest excuse we've seen here.

Having it running in the background might trigger a VAC error preventing you from joining secured servers but doesn't get you banned.

Only false bans will be removed. A VAC ban can't be false after 4 years.

It doesn't change the fact that you used a cheat program that can trigger a VAC ban, even if the cheat was not hooked or injected in the game.

I am amazed how people can remember with clear detail something that happened so long ago. Especially when vac bans are delayed so what was going on when the ban was applied means nothing
