MOBILE AUTHENTICATOR LINKING VAC BANS?
If i remove mobile authenticator from an account. And i afterwards link it to a new one.
Do both accounts get vac ban, if the account with the removed number gets banned?

I mean, can they link the vac bans if the same number has been on the banned account before it was removed?

VAC bans transfer over the phone# at the time of the infraction. That's pretty enough to satisfactory answer the question (and it's pretty much a 1:1 quote of the official information).

Now there's an effect morons mistake for retroactive phone# ban inheritance, it's not properly removing traces of the cheat. You know, dude cheats, dude detaches the phone#, uses it on the new account and then rants about ban being transfered. No ♥♥♥♥ Sherlock, that's how it goes when there's still cheats installed.

If your mobile number was linked with steam account that was VAC banned you need to wait at least 2/3 months. I'm not completely sure !

Only accounts linked by the same phone number at the time of the detection of the cheats get banned. Not retroactively.

Does that mean if my number is removed from an account today, it will recieve a 3 month "cooldown period" before it can be applied to another account?

So Cathulu, that means if i remove my number, and add it to the new one. And get banned straight away on the "now unlinked account" both accounts wont recieve vac ban?

Its just out of curiosity, because i've read that people does recieve multiple vac bans because of the number somehow linking.
How do VAC bans relate to my phone number?
VAC bans will be applied to all accounts sharing a phone number at the time of the infraction. Accounts that do not own the game the VAC ban is for will still receive a VAC ban and won't be able to purchase the game moving forward.

Note: This feature is not enabled for all games and is used at the discretion of the developer.

Why are people talking about the 3 month period then?

You need to wait 3 months before linking your account again because you will receive ban on that account you are trying to link your mobile number . ( Sorry for my English ! )

Isnt' that only if you remove the number from an already banned account?

Yes

Oh okay, so i got nothing to worry about if i remove it from an account with no vac bans?
Cathulhu Jan 1, 2019 @ 1:59pm
Of course not. Also, you don't get VAC banned for adding a phone number, even if it was banned prior to that. At worst, Valve will refuse to add that phone number.

the question is, why are you worried about vac bans? unless you are planning on using the account to cheat, or something that violates the SSA (the penality can be far worse then a vac ban).

the problem is that phone sharing is only 1 way of a ban spreading to other accounts.

I also get confused fairly quickly, when reading trough some of these discussions. And that mixed with my curiosity is not a good combination.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
