regarding nicehash miner and Valve anti cheat
I would like to know if nicehash miner can cause VAC bans. I would like to clarify because it is a miner and has root access to the system. I am using it on my main pc when i am not playing on it, to mine a bit. Please confirm if nicehash miner can cause VAC bans or not? Thank you.

First off, no Valve here. Second, if they were they wouldn't confirm if any specific program causes a VAC ban, as that only helps cheat makers know what can be detected.

So if you are running something that you think might trigger a VAC ban, it's probably best not to run it when playing a VAC enabled game.
