So if you manipulate "name" you get a permanent non-negotiable ban?
However in the actual case in-point, whether the use of this specifically restrictedto changing the 'name' command would also elicit such ban :-
I would argue yes. There's no advantage, nor need in checking to see which particular commands are affected and change behaviours accordingly - logically, if one is CVAR patching then one is exploiting the potential for cheats. This is sufficient to warrant action as per the SSA. The CVAR patching as a "functionality of software" COULD be employed to change "name", but it may also be used to change "r_drawothermodels" etc.
Review the (inttended catch-all ambiguity) wording of the SSA section regarding definition of "cheat"
