Is using custom macros on a gaming mouse/keyboard considered cheating?
I'm disabled and sometimes I have trouble doing certain things while gaming. Occasionally I will use the logitech software with my mouse and keyboard to set up macros to make it easier.

For instance, when my fibromyalgia flares up, I have trouble clicking as fast as I normally can or have trouble correctly hitting keys right when I need to. So I may assign a button on my keyboard to do a macro of a few key presses or assign a button on my mouse to click on a loop as long as it is held down.

Is this something VAC or other anticheat software will detect and ban me for? Stuff like this can give an unfair advantage so I wanted to ask

No that's not considered cheating by the VAC system. Using a trainer for macros would be.
Scripts / macros do NOT result in a VAC ban.

If you use an executable that carries this out - then you can be at risk.

Other anti-cheat systems like Overwatch in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, bans players for using scripts for bunny hopping.

In other cases - uses of scripting vary from simply binding a key to a command to self-referential loops and nested aliases that redefine one another.

Any functionality that can be created with scripting can also be accomplished without it, but scripting allows these functionalities to be used in-game.

These will NOT result in a VAC ban.
