Phone number vac ban?

I have been vac banned on a previous account, that has my phone number on it. If i connect my phone number to my new account will it affect anything?

VAC bans are not given retroactively. VAC bans are not contagious. They will only affect the accounts linked to a phone number at the moment of the detection of the cheat, not before, not after.

The phone# won't affect anything. But your cheat may. Or rather remains of it. If you're going to use the cheat on the same computer you cheated on, better reset the system to assuredly remove all traces of your cheat.

Do make sure though that if the cheating was done on your computer, that all traces are removed FIRST. Preferably with a full reformat and OS reinstall.
