No one on the forums can remove nor investigate a ban. Only falsely applied VAC bans are removed automatically by the system at a later time.
Known cheats were detected on the computer when the account connected to a vac server. A cheat is any program that alters protected game files, it does not have to give an advantage (skin changers, 3rd party crosshair mods, etc).
You are responsible for what happens on your account and what is on the computer(s) you game on.
Steam/Valve will not release any information about what was detected, that information will only help those that cheat and make cheats.
You are responsible for the security of the account, it does not matter who used it to cheat.
Please read the linked material and click the INFO link next to your ban notice on your profile for more information.
you dont have to be actively using a cheat to get a ban. the cheat only has to be detected.
2. VAC generates a huge log for every ban, this log is used to continuously check and verify a ban.
VAC is constantly worked on by humans. It's not autonomous.
Why do you think your inventory matters? I've seen VAC banned accounts with items worth several thousand dollars.
a virus is unlikely to cause a vac ban, and if it did, it would still be 100% your problem. you are responsible for what is on the computers you game on. we have seen plenty of people saying they didnt cheat, but they play from publicly accessible computers. or their brother/sister/dad/son/ficus plant installed cheats on the computer. it doesnt matter who installed the cheat, it doesnt matter why the cheat is there. if vac detects any cheat program it can and will issue a ban. bans are delayed, so what you did at the time the ban was applied was not what caused it.
you dont have to be actively using the cheat, it only has to be detected. reformating the computer is recommended to make sure all traces of the cheat are removed. uninstall/delete are unable to remove 100% of any program.
2. maybe i downloaded a virus that had something in it that triggered vac
and its still a programm and humans make mistakes
The chance that your ban is a false one is under 0,001%.
Because the Steam Support can`t check a VAC ban, only the VAC review team can.
