Question about hvh servers and vac ban

hi, i got in the game and searched for community servers for hvh server
then i connected into one [ i do not have cheats just wanted to see what is this hvh server ]
and after 1 minute i disconnected.
i might get vac ban for that?

100% no ban? because when i logged into the server it started to download some stuff like sounds and more, 100% i'm not getting banned for this server?

I don't know, that's not something that anyone could tell you except the people running the hacky server.

If it was me, I'd uninstall the game, manually delete the remaining install directory, and reinstall the game from scratch. While there may be no way to know what the server tried to force download to your computer, I don't think it would be capable of anything more than that (i.e. no software installs or configuration changes). So a simple wipe and reinstall will probably fix it.

Also, stay away from HvH servers. It's just not worth the trouble.

Server downloads cannot overwrite protected game files. Neither can they send you executables such as cheats or malware.

If you are unsure, uninstall, clean the installation directory and reinstall the game.

You literally cannot get banned from HvH servers because they are not secured by VAC. And the stuff it was download on the loading screen is just the servers material... Every community server has that. Its usually like MVP sounds or like custom player models you can use.


TLDR: You cant get banned from HvH servers.
