Mods seem to have given up on the VAC forums. Can you blame them?
VAC is a auto anti cheat valve uses
Cheating
Skin changers
Graphics enhancers
Family sharing with a cheater
Mobile phone sharing with a cheater
If nothing else you will be remembered for having a epic thread .
The signed the father thread is board legend and this one is heading there as well..
I dont take bets with cheaters.
Why a mod has not shut this down is interesting maybe they are amused by it as well.
According to your logic, I should be able to take a loan out from a bank, sign an agreement that states I need to pay back the money monthly, then not pay it back, saying that it's violating my right to pursue happiness by paying back the loan and refuse to do so. Point being is you have a vac ban, it's automated and support doesn't take tickets for vac bans.
Your only option is formatting your pc to remove any and all cheats that may have installed malware, reinstall your operating system, create a new steam account and purchase the game again for the account. You being a "lawyer" should be able to afford another game with no problem. Either that or go to court for it, but you know as well as the rest of us that it won't end well for you.
You have a ban, you'll have to live with the badge of shame and there is nothing that can be done.
And what do you expect to post this in a thread that isnt yours, and isnt even related with your friend?
Your signing to the SSA legally lets VALVE revoke your games if they believe you broke their rules
The education jab, not relevant at all, not needed. I have told you, if you feel so wronged by valve, go sue valve.
Great questions. I hope this thread isn't closed, because I'm hoping these can be answered. PsiClone seems to think he has the answers to them, and if everyone can put down the pitchforks and torches for a while, we may actually be able to discuss these things. That's the point of this forum, correct?
The $64,000,000,000.00 question. If there -is- a legal problem with banning linked accounts, is Valve's expedience worth giving up your own rights?
@PsiClone: When I asked a while back if anyone had physical access to your phone, it seemed to have something click for you. You changed line from "no, never happened" to "I'm not responsible for the actions of others". Tongue in cheek: did you give your little brother/cousin/nephew a clip under the ear at Christmas dinner? ;)
Where do we draw the line? And what link does it have? The VAC system is a whole other conversation to ask wether it breaks any law.
That's what you might think
Valve is legally sound to use VAC and not be sued. This is because when you signed the SSA, you let that happen.
